Fenzi launches Hotver A+

June 2015

A new hot-melt sealant joins the list of warm edge products from Fenzi, designed for production of windows developed to meet the strictest A+ energy rating standards. Once again, Fenzi is ahead of the curve in providing the maximum performance possible.

Increasingly stringent energy-saving standards, with specific reference to the construction or renovation of private homes and public buildings, have led enterprises serving the building and construction industry to develop more efficient solutions for ongoing, drastic reductions in energy consumption. The materials, systems, components and accessories used in construction play a key role in achieving this.
Of all the components, door and window frames are the ones that typically come into play. In fact, most of the energy loss in a home occurs through its doors and windows, estimated to contribute an average 25 to 40% of total energy loss, even in rather recent construction. Therefore, door and window frames are fundamental in complying with the new standards because keeping their energy loss to a minimum means a major improvement in a building’s overall energy performance. Manufacturers of IG units for doors and windows are among the key players in this contest that is based entirely on technological developments.

As a result, the Fenzi Group is committed to developing new products for warm edge systems.  A shining example is the recently-developed Hotver A+ which has just been launched on the British market and is the most advanced hot-melt sealant in the entire Fenzi range. Like the well-known Hotver 2000, Hotver A+ maintains the same ease of use for one- or two-component sealing with manual pumps or robot extruders. In addition, it guarantees superior performance and a greater improvement in the gas leakage rate of IG units. These features make Hotver A+ the ideal sealant for the production of high energy efficiency windows that comply with the strictest standards for A+ energy rating.

It is a product that offers excellent performance and potential for use, confirms Alessandro Fenzi, CEO of the Fenzi Group: “The British market has long shown its appreciation for Hotver and this most recent development offers considerable advantages to the manufacturers of IG units who want to stay up to date with the latest energy standards. Indeed, thanks to our ongoing program of innovation, we are able to bring to market increasingly high-performance, high-quality products that are able to meet even the most demanding requirements.”
