Newsletter 2 2012

  • Editoriale

The recession depicted in the previous newsletter continues to linger in Europe, and recently expanded into the macroeconomic areas that seemed to be in better health. The way out will still be long and stressful, until investments and consumption return to pre-crisis levels. The combination of the current economy and the financial sector, undermined in recent months by an enduring condition of difficulty experienced by many of the leading international banking institutions, makes the situation even more complex and not easily resolved. It’s possible that greater international cooperation will not be sufficient to turn it around; nor will the choices made by some skilled politicians at the head of ‘big-league’ nations. Perhaps what will be called for is a new international monetary order. From our ‘tiny’ observatory, comprising many businesses in various corners of the globe, we see a certain distress reflected in the world of glass, which is, however, firmly established in the front row when it comes to solutions tied to renewable energy, and energy conservation in general. New projects, new products, and new ideas constantly flow out into the markets and Fenzi pays great attention to (and sometimes is out in front of) the development of more innovative technologies.

We are, and we remain, even closer to all of our clients around the world, to help them compete and win in this great global market, which is currently, perhaps, not big enough for all the players in the actual economy.
